 |
|
Dispatch Ten:
On 12 October, our team made the following careful
and cautious progress on the mountain:1. The
following members walked from Advanced Basecamp (ABC)
to Camp 1:
Tony Kinny, Chris Kinny, Camille Kinny, Fred
Strehlow, Ryan Singleton, Larry Rigsby, Dan Mazur, Ali
Naderi, Jocelyn DuFour, Brian Bonser. Ali, Jocelyn,
and Brian chose to stay the night, while the others
returned to ABC. |

2. The following members walked from Basecamp to ABC: Sandy Garrington,
John Fawcett, Ken Tranter, Tracy Purchase, Brian Rolfson, Kirsti Samson, and
Jay Reilly. They stayed the night in ABC.
Greetings, this is Ryan writing from base camp returning after a couple
nights in ABC and a jaunt up to Camp 1 (~19,000 ft). The views from ABC are
amazing all day and especially spectacular when the sun goes down and the full
moon appears. It feels great to be back down here in base camp where the air
feels thick and a trip to the latrine won't take your breath away. Our cooks
do a great job of leaving us fat and happy after each meal. The tragic death
of the German climber has affected us all, but we remain in good spirits and
are taking extra steps to climb safely. Hi to everyone and thanks for reading.
Thank you very much. Yours Sincerely, from all of us at SummitClimb.com
