 Silvio Mondinelli Shishapangma 2003 | ||||||

Silvio Mondinelli, left 8th September from Italy for his new expedition to Shishapangma. He will share the permit with 6 other Italian climbers. His intention is to try to summit and then descend from the summit on skis together with his friend Mario Merelli. Yesterday they finally reached Chinese Base Camp at 5000 meters where once the yaks arrive they will walk 2 days to reach the Advanced Base Camp at 5600 meters. More on Silvio Mondinelli below... Silvio Mondinelli, (1958), Mountain Guide, Alagna Valsesia, Italy reached the Summit of Everest without Oxygen on the 23rd May 2001. Since May he has added Summits of G1, G2 and Dhaulagiri. Four SUMMITS OF 8000M PEAKS IN 2001 FOR SILVIO. Four 8000 meter peaks Summits in 2001 for Silvio. He is a rising star... 10 summits of 8000 meter peaks 1993 Manaslu 1994 Lhotse 1996 Shishapangma (Central) 1997 Cho Oyu 2001 Everest 2001 GI and GII 2001 Dhaulagiri 2002 Makalu 2003 Kangchenjunga We covered Silvio Mondinelli on Autumn Annapurna 2002. We covered Silvio Mondinelli on Winter Broad Peak. In Spring of 2003 he was on Kangchenjunga. He is currently (9/2003) on Shishapangma.
