Dispatch: Back to BC after Another Bad Storm
For
those of you who have read Dan Mazurs latest dispatch
on Manaslu, you know we faced another storm on
Manaslu. The following day after the storm it was
calm. So Shane, Bruce, Will, Arnold, and I climbed to
Camp 1. It was a gorgeous day, until, thats right,
another storm moved in! This time dumping 1 meter of
fresh snow which was scoured by high winds.
The
team is back at BC. We need the snow to settle in
order to move past Camp 1 to Camp 2. With the sun
burning bright as I speak, our plan is to mov back to
Camp 1 tomorrow (Thursday, April 24th).
With
more teams on the mountain it should be easier to
punch a route in further up the mountain. Hopefully,
in a few days we will have some more good news for
you! Hope all is well! Jeff Justman
