mBank Mansalu Expedition Recovering
The weather is
not too kind for us. It is still snowing. Again, there
is half a meter of fresh snow in the base camp.
Fortunately the forecasts predict that the conditions
will improve.
Today
Krzysztof Tarasiewicz, Jozef Gozdzik and a new
expedition member Dariusz Zaluski (also member of the
polish K2 winter expedition this winter) were trying
to put a new trail through the fresh snow to camp II.
They made one third of the distance and tomorrow they
will return to finish it. If they succeed, the day
after tomorrow the rest of the team will depart for
the higher camps.
The
base camp will be slowly becoming abandoned. Teams
from Slovenia, and Netherlands decided to call off
their expeditions. Our morale is high, our physical
condition even better.
Greetings, Piotr Pustelnik
