Himalayan Guides 2003 Everest Expedition (5): The Following 1 member & Sherpas of "HG Everest Expedition 2003" team have been successful to climb the summit of 8848m. high Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest) on 22 May. 2003 at 10:00 AM. It is also reported that they had started for the summit from South Colon 21st May 2003 at 10:00 PM. Name of the Summiteers

The 8 members "Dream Everest 2003 Expedition" team was permitted to climb 8848 Meter high Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest) from South East Ridge for the period of Seventy-five days

Mr. Pemba Dorjie Sherpa (25yrs.), High Altitude Sherpa from Gaurishankar - 1, Rollwaling has been  Successful to set the World record of Fastest Climbing on the top of Sagarmatha for only 12 hours 45 minutes.. He had started for the summit at 5.00 P.M. on 22 May 2003 and successful to reach on the summit at 5.45 A.M. on 23 May 2003. He had used oxygen from camp IV. Mr. Pemba Dorjie Sherpa was on the Sherpa Dress while he was on the Top.

The previous world record was set by Late Babu Chhiri Sherpa for 16 hours 56 minutes in the year 2000.

Mr. Pemba Dorjie Sherpa was one of the High Altitude Sherpa of "Dream Everest 2003 Expedition" permitted to Climb 8848M. High Sagarmatha from South East Ridge for the period of 75 Days from 25 March 2003 under the Leadership of Mr. Robert Huygn (1946), Salesman from Leliestr, Ternat, Belgium. 

Mr. Da Tshri (26yrs.) from Namche - 2, Solukhumbu has also reached the Summit of Mt. Sagarmatha on 23 May 2003 at 06.16 A.M. along with Pemba Dorjie Sherpa. Mr. Pemba Dorjie Sherpa had put the Photo of his Majesty's King, Queen and Crown Prince on the Top of Sagarmatha and took Photographs. And also he put the Photo of Tuchi Ringboche on the Top of Sagarmatha and took the photographs.

Mr. Gary John Guller has been the successful summiter of Mt. Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest) without right arm.  The 7 members "Team Everest 2003 Expedition" team was permitted to climb 8848 Meter high Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest) from South East Ridge for the period of Seventy-five days from 3 April 2003 under the leadership of Mr. Gary John Guller (37 Yrs) from Austin, Texas, USA.

Everest 50: The fiftieth anniversary expedition. (French), (11)

1.) Mr. Lakpa Nuru Sherpa (27 Yrs), High altitude Sherpa from Kalopul, Kathmandu,Nepal has been successful to Climb 8848 m. high Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest) on 23rd May 2003 at 12 noon with 2 French member and 2 other sherpas of Everest 50 Expedition 2003.

The 12 members "Everest 50 Expedition 2003" team was permitted to climb Sagarmatha from South East Ridge for the period of Seventy Five days from 31 March 2003 under the leadership of Jean Michel Asselin (51 Yrs), Mountain Guide from St. Bernard Du Touvel,France.

2.& 3.) Mr. Pemba Nuru Sherpa (25 yrs.), High altitude Sherpa from Namche - 6, Thamotang, Solukhumbu has been successful to Climb 8848 m. high Sagarmatha along with the Mr. Ang Chhiring Sherpa, the Correspondent of Kantipur Daily on 22 May at 12.00 Noon.

Mr. Pemba Nuru Sherpa is the high altitude Sherpas of The 12 members "Everest 50 Expedition 2003" team which was permitted to climb 8848 Meter high Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest) from South East Ridge for the period of Seventy five days from 31 March 2003 under the leadership of Mr. Jean Christophe Vanwaes (35 Yrs), Cameraman from Rue Vaillant,Lambersart,France.

4,5,& 6.) The Following two Sherpas of "Everest 50 Expedition 2003" have been Successful to Climb 8848 m. high Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest) with Mr. Sergio Mingote Monero from Spain on 21 st may 2003 at 11.00 pm.

1.     Mr. Thilen Sherpa (37 yrs.) High Altitude Sherpa Makalu - 5, Sankhuwasava, Nepal.

2.     Mr. Nigma Dorjie Sherpa (22 yrs.) High Altitude Sherpa from Makalu - 5, Sankhuwasava, Nepal.

Everest from South East Ridge for the period of Seventy five days from 19 March 2003 under the leadership of Mr. Patrick Falvey (45 Yrs), Climber/Adventurer from Beaufort, Killarney, Co Kerry, Ireland.

Nepal Journalist Expedition (1): Mr. Ang Chhiring Sherpa (28 yrs.), Corospondent of Kantipur Daily from Sallery, Solukhumbu Nepal has been successful to Climb the Summit of Sagarmartha (Mt. Everest) on 22 May 2003 at 12 Noon. The Solo "Everest Expedition Team" was permitted to Climb Sagarmatha from South East Ridge. The Royalty was exempted by HMG for Mr. Sherpa's expedition. He is the first Nepalese journalist to climb the top of the Sagarmatha (8848 m.) the World's Highest Peak.

Mr. Ang Chhiring Sherpa hoisted the flag of Nepal Journalist Federation and put the Photo of Lord Buddha while he stayed for 10 minutes on the Summit.

International (7): The Following 3 members & 4 Sherpas of "Everest 2003 Expedition" team have been successful to climb the summit of 8848m. high Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest) on 22 May. 2003 at 7.20 AM. It is also reported that they had started for the summit from camp five at 03:15 AM.

Miura Japanese Everest 2003 Expedition (9): The Following 3 members & 6 sherpas of "Miura Everest 2003 Expedition" team have been successful to climb the summit of 8848m.high Mt. Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest) on 22nd May. 2003 at 10:30 AM. It is also reported that they had started for the summit from camp five at 03:15 AM. Name of the Summiteers

The Following 5 members & 3 Sherpas of "Tokyo University of Agriculture Alpine Club Everest/Lhotse Expedition" team have been successful to climb the summit of 8848m.high Mt. Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest) on 22nd May. 2003 at 06:50 AM to 08:40 AM.

It is also reported that Mr. Da Nuru Sherpa , Mr. Jangbu Sherpa and fastest record holder Lhakpa Gelu Sherpa are the three brothers they have been successful to reach the summit of Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest) on the same day.

and Mr. Lhakpa Tsheri Sherpa Climbing Sherpa from Chaurikharka-2, Solukhumbu, Nepal has been successful to Climb 8848 Meter high Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest) on 26 May 2003 at 05.57 AM. along with 1 American and 3 Sherpas (Press Release No. 6 on 26 May 12.30 PM.). Mr. Lhakpa Tshering Sherpa is one of the Climbing Sherpas of the 12 members "Jubilaeiums Expedition Mt. Everest 2003" team was permitted to climb 8848 Meter high Mt. Everest from South East Ridge for the period of Seventy five days from 6 April 2003 under the leadership of Mr. Eckhard Schmitt (56 Yrs) from Schaftlach, Germany.

and Mr. Lakpa Gelu Sherpa (36 yrs), Climbing Sirdar from Jubing - 1, KhariKhola, Solukhumbu, Nepal has been successful to hold the World record of Fastest Climbing on the top of World highest Mountain 8848 Meter high Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest) for only 10 Hours 56 Minutes and 46 Seconds.

He had started for the Summit at  5.00 PM. on 25 May 2003 and reached on the Summit at 3hrs. 56 min. 46 sec. AM. on 26 May 2003 and he reached down to Base Camp at 11.20 AM. on 26 May 2003. He completed this ascent from Base Camp to top and reached down to Base Camp in 18 hours 20 Minutes.

  The previous world record was 12 hours 45 Minutes was set by Mr. Pemba Dorjie Sherpa (25 yrs) Climbing Sherpa from Rolwalling on 23 May 2003. It is also reported that Mr. Lhakpa Gelu Sherpa hoisted the National flag (6 feet tall made by brass)

Mr. Lakpa Gelu Sherpa was the Climbing Sirdar of 12 Members "Jubilaeiuns Expedition Mt. Everest 2003" permitted to climb 8848m high Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest) from South East Ridge under the Leadership of Mr. Eckhard Schmitt (56 Yrs) Mountaineer from Shaftlach, Wiesseer Str., Germany. It is also reported that this is his tenth times Summit of Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest).

Italy Everest Speed (2 Summits): The Following 1 member & 1 sherpa of "Italy Everest Speed Expedition 2003" team have been successful to climb the summit of 8848m. high Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest) on 23 May. 2003 at 09:45 AM. Name of the Summiteers

1.     Ms. Manuela Di Centa (40 Yrs), Journalist, Anchorwoman from Bormio (SO), Italy.

2.     Mr. Dorjee Sherpa (38 Yrs), Namche-5, Solukhumbu, Nepal 

The 10 members of "Italy Everest Speed Expedition 2003" team was permitted to climb 8848 Meter high Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest) from South East Ridge for the period of Seventy-five days from 9 April 2003 under the leadership of Mr. Manuel Massimo Lugli (42 Yrs), Tour operator from Modena (MO), Italy.

Note all the above Summits have been reported by the officials in Nepal.

In addition Sean Stephan Wisedale from the South African Team has been reported to have Summited Everest, however his summit has not yet been reported by Ministry of Tourism. We have now confirmed his summit...
