April
20th, Martine and Lapka Sherpa made their way to
camp 3 at dawn, they passed through the famously
difficult Lhotse Face. That day, Martine met Peter
Hillary, son of the great Sir Hillary. Lapka Sherpa
had the unfortunate idea to take off his sunglasses,
the ice reflection badly damaged his sight, since
then he is in serious pain, he had to be walked back
for treatment.
April
22nd to April 26th, Martine and Lapka Sherpa were
back in Base Camp for rest, laundry, visiting other
climbers who are part of various expeditions, and
tend to Lapka Sherpa's eye problem.
