Hello
EverestNews.com/HolylandExpeditions.com's readers !
We
went for an acclimatisation walk. The jeep dropped us
at 3300m and we walked down to Korhan at 1900m.
Everyone's knees are sore now ! We had a fantastic
view of Ararat's west face and the Parrot Glacier.
Looks like a very straight forward route to the summit
from the west side.
After
2 nights at Korhan, we are moving to BC this
afternoon. We are not sure how far the jeep can take
us. We may have to walk last bit to BC. As
no one has been there before, including Nasuh himself,
this is where the adventure begins!!!
Yesterday,
our 2 Spanish friends, Marcello
and Fernando, finally caught up
with the group after getting their visa. They are nice
guys. So now we have 7 Everest climbers and some AKUT
members. The plan now is to try placing a high camp at
4000 meters tomorrow. It's going to be a very long day
from BC with about 2000m ascent ! Then, attempt the
summit if weather permits. This is the last point for
email but Marcello and Fernando have Inmarsat. They
will be able to send dispatches. Cheers. Swee
