Austria Horizont Reisen Everest
2001 Expedition
Dr.
Stefan Gatt
Study
of sports and sports management, some experience in
industrial management, and psychology. Before his
study some education in sports and training: mountain
and skiing guide, sport climbing teacher. My
background is in the study of sports and sports
management. I have some experience in industrial
management and psychology. Prior to this I gained
experience as a mountain and skiing guide and as a
sport climbing instructor. The emphasis of my work is
in the field of team and personal development of
people working in leading positions in economy. The
emphasis of my work is in the field of personal and
team development which I have taken to the business
world, assisting many large corporations in the
achievement of personal
development.
I can use the experience from this work perfect for my
work as expedition guide. Until now I have guided 14
very successful expeditions to South Africa and Tibet.
I climbed the following summits: Aconcagua, Huascaran,
Alpamayo, Quitaraju, Toclaraju, Illimani, Ancohuma,
Huyna Potosi and Sajama.
In
Patagonia I had some first ascents of Fitz Roy. Under
my management we had a successful rescue of a person
from 7500 meters on Cho Oyu in 1996. After our rescue
we reached the summit of this 8201 meter peak. In 1999
I skied off of Cho Oyo with my Snowboard. On this
expedition 70% of the participants reached the summit
without any help from Sherpas or oxygen. This was my
greatest success as expedition guide of a 8000 meter
summit. Languages: English, Spanish and French
The success
of my expeditions are:
·
Safety has priority
·
Easy acclimatization with cultural highlights
·
Everybody is responsible for himself at the mountain
·
Teaching of alpine medical and sport-scientific
knowledge to achieve a self aware treatment of the
body
·
Teamwork and fun in the group
