Hinkes leading Aconcagua for Jagged Globe

Alan
Hinkes has climbed more 8000
meter peaks than any other Brit. This winter
he will lead one of Jagged Globe's Aconcagua
expeditions. Past Jagged Globe expeditions where
Alan has been a leader include Broad Peak in
1991. |

Jan 2002: Aconcagua expeditions at Christmas led
by Alan Hinkes and Matt Dickinson experienced
extreme conditions with Matt's team having to
turn back high on the mountain because of fear
of frostbite. Alan reached the summit with
just one member of his team in strong winds and
unusually high snowfall. Full reports soon. |
