Update May 6, 2002:
Alan
Hinkes is expecting to summit Annapurna I today the
6th of May 2002.

Hinkes has left Camp III at 11 PM, near mid night, on
May 05, together with 4
members and 3 sherpas of the Indian Army Team for the
summit of Annapurna I. Alan is taking his own speed or
pace, he is not rivaling the Indian Team, who has
reached the summit at 0720 this morning already. Alan
is expected to reach Summit at around mid day today,
if everything goes well and good with his climb. His
expected ETA at Annapurna I 8091m summit is about 1200
hrs.
