Question: Eric's statements about not finding Irvine and the camera have been somewhat enigmatic -leading to speculation that they have been found but the information not released for political reasons. What is the story?

Andy: The Chinese have been in close contact with us on many matters pertaining to the expedition. Our Liaison Officer is a fine guy I have known since 1986.  We would not want to jeopardize his standing in his organization by keeping important information that would come back and bite him later.

Question: If they have not been found, how certain are you that they are not present in the areas that were searched this year?

Andy: I am certain that I did not find their camera.

Question: The first search occurred with very little snow, but after that it seems that there was a reasonable snow cover that could have obscured a partially hidden body. How much real estate has been eliminated? 

Andy: Eric is a big guy and played Rugby in school. No way do I want him pummeling me for giving away information on this topic. I believe we have 1-3 days searching left.
