take on Shishapangma Autumn 2002

Czech Himalaya 8000 Shishapangma expedition leave
tomorrow Sept. 8th at 6 a.m. morning from
Kathmandu to Tibetan Nepalese border Kodari and
then to first Tibetan village called Zhangmu. |
After two days in
Kathmandu we have prepared all necessary documents,
visa and permits with cooperation of Nepal Trans
Himalayan Explorer managing by Pasang Dawa Sherpa. Our
team joined also my close friend sirdar Lhakpa Dorjee
Sherpa and cook Dilkum.
Tomorrow evening we
expect to arrive to Zhangmu. Next morning we load all
of baggage and join Chinese liaison officer and then
we will move to Nyalam village which is on 3.900
meters. We stay there about two days for
acclimatization and then we will move to Base Camp of
Shishapangma [called Chinese Base Camp] which is at
about 4.900m. After acclimatization we will load all
of the luggage to Yaks and we will move to 5.500
meters which is a real Base camp of Shishapangma.
