Rescue
crews are trying to save several injured
climbers that fell into a crevasse just below
the Summit of Mt Hood.
A
military helicopter try to save the climbers
have now crashed just below where the climbers
are on the mountain. The helicopter was making
its second attempt to save the climbers. They
will able to airlift 2 climbers off the mountain
before the crash.
Mt
Hood is about 50 miles east of Portland. The mountain
is very popular with climbers....
Reportedly,
three climbers died and four were seriously injured on
Mt. Hood in Oregon. All members of the rescue chopper
that crashed are alive. Also, yesterday three climbers
died on Mt. Ranier in Washington. One climber in the
party of four was recovered with no injuries.
