Hello,
This is Gerfried Goeschl from Austria! On 5/3/2002 two
brothers Rainer Wolfgang Goeschl and Gerfried Goeschl
reached the Summit of Cho Oyu. We started from Camp 2
(7100m) 0:45 Nepali time, -30 degrees Celsius. There was
bad weather and high winds. We reached the real Summit
at 9:05 Nepali time. It was very, very cold. We were the
second group to summit Cho Oyu. The first group was
Swiss Rupert Heider with two Sherpas on 24.04.2002. On
our summit day, one and a half hour later one Korean
(Chung Jang Keun) and two Sherpas, one was named Pem
Tensi Sherpa) reached the Summit. We were climbing
without help of Sherpas and supplimental Oxygen. We were
three members of Styria, Austria expedition.
