International Mountain Guides
|
 |
 |

 |
Chris Booher,
Co-leader:
Chris has been a professional mountain guide since
1996 and has guided at Mt. Rainier for many years.
His guiding career has taken him to many fantastic
places in North and South America, including many
foreign trips to Mexico, Ecuador, Peru, Argentina,
and to the summit of Everest via the North Ridge.
Rock climbing, ice climbing, and fly fishing have
given Chris the opportunity to travel extensively
throughout the United States, Canada, and Thailand.
In addition to climbing activities, Chris is an avid
soccer player and enjoys whitewater kayaking.

Mike Hamill, Co-leader: Mike began
guiding five years ago and is very passionate about his work. He is a year
round professional guide and has traveled and climbed on five continents.
When not guiding on Mt. Rainier, where he has over 40 summits, he can be
found leading expeditions in Alaska, Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, the
Himalaya, and throughout the United States. Many clients have remarked
that Mike's love for the mountains is contagious. He is a former Division
1 collegiate ski racer and Junior Olympian, has a B.S. from St. Lawrence
University, and is a Wilderness First Responder. When not guiding Mike is
usually climbing ski mountaineering, biking, and fly fishing his way
around the globe. |
 |
Garrett Madison, Asst. guide: Garrett is a native of the Pacific
Northwest who enjoys many aspects of mountaineering and skiing, which he
has done in the French Alps, the Tetons, and the Olympic and Cascade
mountains. He has been guiding for RMI for five years and now has about 60
ascents of Rainier. |
 |
Justin
Merle, Asst. guide: Justin grew up climbing in the mountains of the
Pacific Northwest. He began guiding in 1999 and now shares his passion for
the mountains on trips all over the world. A senior guide on Mount
Rainier, he has summited over 50 times. Justin has guided successful
expeditions on Mt. McKinley in Alaska and Aconcagua in Argentina. He has a
B.A. in Geology, is a Wilderness First Responder and is certified in
Outdoor Emergency Care. When not guiding, he dabbles in substitute
teaching. He spends his free time climbing rock and ice, running, cycling,
skiing and also being lazy. |
