Dispatch Six September 5th: Namaste! This Nancy
Norris reporting in at Cho Oyu ABC. Hello EverestNews.com readers !! This
morning we arrived at advance base camp at 18,500 feet. We moved up from
Interim Camp today, and the trip to the took about 5 hours. Everyone is
healthy and good well, and getting more excited !

We have the best guides and the greatest Sherpa
climbers on the mountain taking care of us. It is lightly snowing right now.
We got about 2 inches last night and it made the walk from Interim Camp today
beautiful. I will call in again in the next 2-3 days...

Nancy Norris, who at age 59 will
attempt Cho Oyu, the world’s 6th highest mountain, as a
prelude to her climb on Mt. Everest in the Spring 2004
at age 60. Nancy will attempt to become the oldest
American woman to Summit Everest.
On Cho Oyu, Nancy Norris will join a team of 25 climbers,
guides and support staff organized by International Mountain Guides, Inc.
(IMG). Headquartered in Ashford, WA under the direction of American
mountaineer Eric Simonson. IMG has successfully led over 100 climbers to the
summit of Cho Oyu on 11 previous expeditions to that mountain.
