Update
6/08/2001:
Dear friends:
At 05.45 hrs, June 7th, "Chilenas al
Everest" expedition arrived at Santiago International
Airport, Chile. They were fine, but without Cristina
Prieto who still is in Amsterdam with her mother.
They
gave us an amazing press conference and then they were
to their home to begin the fiesta, which, of course,
still goes.
Now
we start another phase: photos, slide shows, video
and, maybe, a book.
Now
it's time to say good-bye, because this is the last
report from Chilenas al Everest.
I
had tried to be a useful communication tool between
the people and the expedition's members and, in this
role, I had been witness how the technology, well
used, is an extraordinary tool to improve the human
dreams.
In
our case, your love was transmitted straight to us
and, I must admit, we weren't prepared to receive it.
I saw how modest, simples and unknown persons wrote us
beautiful letters showing their commitment with our
experience.
Be
sure, our success is yours too.
Thank
you very much. For ever,
Rodrigo Fica.
Chilenas al Everest.
