Cho
Oyu Autumn 2000
This August/September this team of six international climbers
will be attempting to climb Cho Oyu, the sixth highest mountain in the world,
without either the aid of supplemental oxygen or sherpas.

James Maclaurin: Climber/Marconi Employee
Avid climber from birth with
hundreds of mountaineering ascents to his name
throughout the world. An all-rounder with
highly accomplished skills in every aspect of
the mountains: rock climbing, ice climbing,
skiing and mountaineering.
Chris Patient: Climber/Photographer
Resident of
Zermatt, Switzerland. Climbed for over twenty
years throughout the world. Chris has been
climbing in the Himalaya since 1986as well as
climbing in the Andes, Africa, UK, Alps. Other

photographer. Endurance athlete. 50km running
mountain marathons. 150km cycle mountain
marathons. 15 years climbing and skiing in

Over 12 years of mountaineering, rock
climbing and ice climbing experience:
