looks back at the last year every fall. This year, we
decided a few things:

EverestNews.com plans to go to a readers (visitors)
based plan to pay for the cost of EverestNews.com
rather than an ad revenue plan. Therefore we are
starting EverestNews.com Premium News Service. What is
EverestNews.com Premium News Service? Many of our best
exclusive stories will be EverestNews.com Premium News Service.
The charge for non-commercial use will be $14.95 US per
year. We hope our readers will feel EverestNews.com
service is worth $14.95 US per year. It is no secret
that the dot-com industry continues to struggle.
Revenue from internet advertising is very low for
banner ads. Therefore, the readers of EverestNews.com
will determine our future....
2.)
We want EverestNews.com to go back to focusing more on
individual climbers and less on expeditions. That does
not mean we won't cover expeditions, if
just means we will focus more
on climbers.
3.)
We plan to focus more on Everest again!
4.)
Will much of EverestNews.com still be free? Yes, for
now. The future will be determine by the readers of
EverestNews.com and their support for the site.
