Jagged Globe was founded by Steve Bell. Steve
has more than 20 years of mountaineering
experience including winter ascents of the north
faces of the Eiger and Matterhorn. He claims
"Britain's first guided expedition to an
8000m peak and was the first Briton to lead
clients to the summit of Everest." He has
climbed all of the continental summits and is a
fully qualified UIAGM mountain guide. Steve and

David Hamilton
will be leading this year's expedition again.
David Hamilton will make his 3rd consecutive attempt on
Gasherbrum II, if succeeded he will be the first man
to make a hat-trick on Gasherbrum II 8035 meters high
peak.

Leadership/guiding qualifications: David has led
expeditions to the Karakoram every year since
1986. |
Mountaineering
background: A full time guide since 1988, David has
guided more than 50 groups in the Alps, Caucasus,
Africa, South America, Karakoram, China, Nepal. He has
a specialist knowledge of the Karakoram, having led
numerous expeditions there, including many of the
major peaks.
Jagged Globe Expeditions: Gasherbrum II (1998, 1999),
Everest (1999), Broad Peak (2000), Spantik (2000).
Other interests: David is a keen ski tourer and has
enjoyed leading ski mountaineering expeditions in the
past.
David has been
a
regular visitor to Pakistan for the last 15 years. He
will be working as the lead guide for Jagged
Globe on this expedition. In
his early visits to Pakistan he mostly lead trekking
and small peak groups to Pakistan but with the time we
turn to lead serious climbing expedition. With luck on
his back he is becoming more popular in Mountaineering
Community. This year he is leading two expeditions in
Pakistani mountains one for Gasherbrum II and second
one for Spantik Peak in Arandu Valley. David is an
expert para-glider, he has summits Gasherbrum I and
II, Chogolisa and Trichmir in Hindu Kush, besides
unsuccessful attempt on Masherbrum (K1) and Everest.
