the days are passing more and more climbers are submitting
their application for different mountain in Pakistan.
Despite the slow down of tourism business this year by
50%. [The key is how many will go ?]
David
Hamilton - UK submitted three application for Mt.
Spantik 7027m, The Classic SE ridge, August 3 - August
31 2002, Gasherbrum II 8035m, June 1 - July 20 2002
and Drifica 6447m June 29 - July 27 2002.
During
April and May 2002 David Hamilton hopes to be leading a
group of 8 people on a unique ski expedition in
Northern Pakistan. They are aiming to make the longest
and most technically demanding ski journey ever
attempted in the Karakoram. The route will take them
250 km from Shimshal in Hunza to Hushe in Baltistan,
traversing ten glacier systems and crossing six high
passes.
