Update 5/29/2002: Wilco is back in the camp 2 at 7700 meter...

Hans and Wilco left from camp 2 at 7700 meter at 10 AM according to their plan. They agreed to leave the sat-phone in the camp. But Wilco called home a few hours later. The climbing conditions were not good. There is a lot of snow and a strong wind, which makes it harder to climb. Wilco decided, after a while, to go back to camp 2 and to cancel his summit bid. Hans still sees possibilities and decided to go on alone and try to reach the summit.
