APRIL 26 2002 Camp 1 (7000 meters) Everest North Ridge.

Just a brief update today - although we are expecting pictures and text from Gavin and Will in the next 24/48 hours. They both successfully made it to Camp 2 today and dropped off tents. They were pleased to report they were the first Westerners to that height and felt quite chuffed to be doing so well so far. They then returned to Camp 1 and have decided to descend to ABC tomorrow to rest.

Apparently there were gale force winds and they got really battered - but all is well. Will let you know whenever anything more happens,
