More: Hi EverestNews.com again, Gavin and Willie have left for the summit in the last half-an-hour. Gavin told me the weather is still not that favorable but they are going to go ahead anyway and see what the situation is when they get to the next significant point in the climb - would have been Camp 4 at 8,300m. He says he will try and phone later, but no promises! 

All I can say is that it has a pleasure doing these updates for Gav and Willie and I only hope that the weather gives them a break as if anyone deserves this achievement it's those two fellas, Take care, Richard Sheane
