26, 2002: We received a call from Martine
Larroque, at present she is at an altitude of 38,050
in Khumgung. She sounded pretty cheerful and
excited. She has already teamed up with a Sherpa,
very soon she will be reaching the base camp - first
step to her dream expedition. She is in good health
and positive about her journey.....
Note:
Martine
is using Asian Trekking for base camp support. She
is climbing independently, as this is how these
expeditions work, where she will be pretty much on
her own on the mountain.
