Simone Moro Everest/Cho Oyu 2002 Expedition

Hello everybody, I am back with the computer after yesterday's "race". If it wasn't for myself registering my ascent with the GPS, I couldn't believe what I have done. My ascent was very fast, especially considering the lack of acclimatization. There are 12 expeditions at ABC, but the technical level did not impress me, except for the 3 Russians who are funny and very nice. I am becoming everybody's friend. The members of my expedition are down a little with the typical symptoms of high altitude. Today Valter and Sandro Vidi went to walk on the glacier. I think we will have to wait 3-4 more days before they could depart for C1. Anyways, nothing to worry about. Omar Oprandi, Franco Nicolini and Mirco Mezzanotte should be arriving at base camp in mid week. I hope the days spent at base camp put them in good shape. As far as myself, I am thinking to climb tomorrow or the next day so I could reach 7600 meters and then get ready for the final assault. The weather is not good, it's not snowing but it is cloudy. I saw this storm yesterday when I was at a higher elevation, that is why I decided to descend. I have send you some pictures and I hope you will appreciate the work we are doing.
Ciao!
Simone Moro
