- As
a two-person team, we will join a group
organized from Nepal (Asian
Trekking) for
organization until base camp. Beyond, we will
act independently.
- O2
- We will see during the expedition if a climb
without bottled oxygen makes sense.
- Sherpa
- Since we want to keep the option to use
bottled oxygen, we will probably have to use the
services of a high camp porter Sherpa.
- Mount
Everest will be our 12th expedition.
News
March 22nd, 2002 - part of our equipment is
on the way to Kathmandu.
April
5, 2002: Still in Kathmandu - our leave for
Tibet is postponed. There are no overland buses
available, because Maoist attacks against buses in
west Nepal have raised safety concerns of the
transport entrepreneurs.
