April 3, 2002: Jim and Scott departed for Kathmandu this morning at 9:40a MST.  Their flights will take them to San Francisco, Tokyo, Bangkok (where they will spend the night), then on to Kathmandu.   Both of them had been up most of the night doing last minute things and were very tired, but eager to get started on the expedition.  They are looking forward to meeting up with Adrian at BC (Base Camp) in several days.
