Update 5/16/2002: Ms. Tamae Watanabe, a 63 three year old (born 11/21/38)office worker in Japan has summited Everest! She is the oldest woman to do so, breaking the record of Anna Czerwinska (born 7/10/49 climbed Everest from Nepal side on 5/22/2000.) Mr. Noriyuki Muraguchi summiting with Tamae, for his second summit of Everest!

Ms. Tamae Watanabe, previous reached the Summits of Cho Oyu, Dhaulagiri, and G2, so she is an experienced climber!!
