What is most interesting is the Russians Summits on the 18th. Was the weather really bad on the 18th? One climber we interviewed last week said it was fine up high on the 18th...

The expedition left Kathmandu for Tibet to climb the North side of Everest on 4/6/02.

The Ural (Russian team) summited on the 16th and the 18th. You might have notice Gavin Bate spoke of Alexei's Summit and becoming good friends with him...Their Summit on the 18th, would have been in what many consider bad weather. Those Russians! More details to follow later.
