About Mountain Experience Everest 2001 Expedition

The Mountain Experience Everest 2001 expedition will have 3 guides and 6 climbers on the team. The team, led by Jason Edwards, will attempt to Summit Everest from the South Side via the Standard Southeast Ridge route. The expedition will attempt to put a Canadian father and son team on the summit of Everest, with the son being the youngest Canadian to reach the Summit if successful.

Mountain Experience Everest Expedition will be a featured expedition on EverestNews.com in Spring 2001.

About Mountain Experience: In Jason's words...

The small trips that we offer focus on quality adventures around the world. We’re not a big outfit nor do we run a large quantity of trips. We do though, conduct fun and very well organized quality trips that keep our clientele returning year after year for more excitement and adventure. Our focus is to provide the best travel experience possible, and we’re constantly evaluating ways to accomplish this goal. Our guides have been leading international mountaineering and trekking adventures since the early '80's, and we feel through our experiences, we can offer the best each area has to offer.

Our trip leaders approach the mountains and the third world with a solid background of high-altitude mountaineering, trekking and group travel related experience, which helps increase trip safety and enjoyment of our adventures. All of our leaders bring many fine qualities to each trip; we’re confident you’ll enjoy their leadership style and company!

Often times we have previously climbed with the members on our journeys. This helps our groups gel and increases the "fun factor." We look forward to many more years of continued service to our loyal clientele wherever our adventures may take us.

Through our own experiences and of the local contacts we work with during our trips, an effort is made to expose our participants to many of the cultural values and differences between our cultures. We’d like everyone to walk away from our trips having had a terrific overall experience, and better understanding of those people we meet along the way during our travels.

Once you’ve been on one of our trips, you’ll have confidence that your next Mountain Experience adventure will be very similar in terms of quality, expertise, attention to safety, and overall standard level of care. You’ll be able to relax and have a great time, and leave many of the details to us. With that in mind, we invite you to join us soon on an upcoming trip—and we’ll share a great Mountain Experience together!

Cheers,

Jason Edwards
