Everest 2003: Romanian Everest
Expedition North Side

The Romanian North
Side expedition is planning to depart on March 27 and
arrive back in Romania on June 6th. The expedition is
funded, in part, by the Romanian Government and has
their official recognition.
The members of the
Romanian expedition are:

In expedition will
have additional Sherpa support from Asian Trekking.
George Dijmarescu will be on his annual climb of
Everest [we are teasing George]. George Dijmarescu,
you might recall has summited Everest the last 4 years
from the North side.
Joining George will
be Lakpa Sherpa, the first woman Sherpa to Summit
Everest twice (she has summited the South and the
North sides). She will be attempting her third summit,
with a dream to summit 10 times.
The Romanian
expedition will be accompanied by 2 cameramen from the
most popular TV channel in Romania- PRO TV- and they
will make live transmissions every day, from April 25
till June 6.
