2.) Patagonia Mountain Agency which includes the Everest climber Richard Pawlowski will be attempting Everest from the North Side in Spring 1999.  " We are heading to Everest starting the 4th of April, the members are: Climbers: 1 - Jacek Maselko from Alaska - guide, 2 - Ryszard Pawlowski   from Poland - guide, 3 - Barbara Batko from Poland, 4 - Tadeusz Kudelski from Poland, 5 - Witold Szylderowicz from Poland, 6 - Pavle Milosevicz from Yugoslavia, 7 - Ian Beaton from Great Britain, 8 - Omar Abbosh from Great Britain, 9 - Masaru Osamura from Japan, plus two high altitude Sherpas for support up high, Base camp staff: 1 - Talli Leach from Alaska, 2 - Eric Brown from Texas. Jacek Maselko, has reached the summit of Gasherbrum I (8068m), Gasherbrum II (8035m), and Ama Dablam along others. Richard has reached the summit of Everest twice. Once from the North Side and once from the South Side. Richard has also reached the summits of K2, Gashherbrum I, Gasherbrum II, Aconcagua (3X), Lhotse, Nanga Parbat, Ama Dablam (10X), Annapurna  I, and Broad peak along others...

Everest News is also working with Patagonia Mountain Agency for reports from Everest.

Pavle Milosevicz from Yugoslavia did not make it to Everest.

3.) Asian-Trekking North Side 99 Expedition, and supporting many others. Aka, International expedition (organized by Asian Trekking agency) - Everest from North - leader Gia Tortladze The first official Georgian expedition is in the list of participants. This is a huge expedition and is broken down into groups.

Everest News has been told the South Africans arrived late bring with them their own sherpas (reported to be as many as five). Little else is know about them.

4.) International Everest Expedition 99 Spring, (2nd group), organized by  Zelenograd mountaineering club and Asian-Trekking ) - Everest from the North by the North ridge - leader Skripko Viacheslav (Russia) and Dimitrov Borislav (Bulgaria).

5.) Geneva Everest Expedition Spring 99 : A Swiss/French expedition Stephane Schaffter leader, with 10 climbers plus Sherpa (supported by Asian-Trekking) including climber Steve Haston and Laurence H. Goualt;

6.) Indian Everest Millennium Expedition 99 Spring Kangshung Face

All Sherpa "staff" climbers from Asian-Trekking.

8.) American expedition including Eric Simonson and Jochen, reported on an American commercial web site that does not share information nor links.

9.) Himalayan Experience Expedition to Mt. Everest 1999 Spring Russell Brice leader with 5 climbers plus himself and a large Sherpa staff (Asian-Trekking again).

10.) Misc.: Japanese climber: Tomiyasu  ISHIKAWA (Japanese) will attempt from north ridge. He already summit from south-east ridge in 1994 (57yrs). If successful, he will have reached the summit 2 times and be the oldest climber in the world to reach the summit of Everest. 11.) Chinese climbers, Everest News needs more Chinese contacts !

10 Chinese Climbers are reported to have reached the Summit. Names unknown. 

12.) Italian Expedition lead by Sergio Martini including Chus Lago Rey and two sherpas climbers at least. Other climbers on this expedition, Everest News just does not have the names.
