Dispatch 18 Continued: American Ski Everest Expedition... May 4th.

Mike, calling from ABC again, we spend the last 45 minutes re-securing our base camp. It looks like the only remaining standing ABC's camps are ours, the Italians, the Spanish; the Chinese ABC is the highest and I can't see any tents up there. Looks like Global extremes, part of Russ Brice's expedition, has one tent, a white tent, still standing, they had two others (blue), that are just gone. The Swiss camp is gone. It looks like a lot of the personal tents are gone too.

The Japanese [in-audible] ...French team looks like they are just holding it together. But if we get any more gusts, I don't know how much longer they are going to make it. Mike.

[Note sometimes the Sherpa collapse the tents and flatten them to allow them to survive the storm.]
