Dispatch Three: Mike
Marolt calling
in for the Ski Everest expedition from the North side.
Mike
Marolt
reporting in. Everyone in healthy, we have spend the
last couple of days at Nyalam approx 12.400 feet doing
some acclimatization hikes up to 14,000 feet then
15.500 today.
Everybody fine and everyone seems to be
doing well. We are headed to Tingri in the next day or so depending on when
the jeeps can get here.
We received a FED EX package from the Slaven
elementary school. First and second graders sent us a Flag signed from all the
children. We appreciate the support. It was really fun to look at the flag and
look at all the kids names...Jim Gile has a child at the school, so it meant a
lot to Jim and it meant a lot to all of us.
A couple of more days of
acclimatization
at Tingri and then off to Everest Base camp (north side) probably in the next
4-5 day. Everyone is fine, having a great trip.
We will try to update
dispatches daily....
Cheers, Mike Marolt
