Gary Guller with one arm has reached the top of the WORLD!

The Following 1 member & 4 Sherpas of "Team Everest 2003 Expedition" team has been successful to climb the summit of 8848m. high Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest) on 23 May. 2003 at 12:15 PM.

1.     Mr. Gary John Guller (36 Yrs), Leader, Austin, Texas, USA.

2.     Mr. Nim Dawa Sherpa (40 Yrs), Sirdar, Gudel-5, Solukhumbu, Nepal.

3.     Mr. Pem Tenji Sherpa (39 Yrs), HAS, Sotang-6, Solukhumbu, Nepal.

4.     Mr. Da Nima Sherpa (31 Yrs), HAS, Bhakanje-2, Solukhumbu, Nepal.

5.     Mr. Namgya Sherpa (32 Yrs), HAS, Lelep-8, Taplejung, Nepal. 

Mr. Gary John Guller has been the successful summiter of Mt. Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest) without right arm. 

The 7 members "Team Everest 2003 Expedition" team was permitted to climb 8848 Meter high Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest) from South East Ridge for the period of Seventy-five days from 3 April 2003 under the leadership of Mr. Gary John Guller (36 Yrs) from Austin, Texas, USA.

We are on the way up!

Namaste! It is 9:48pm here at Everest Base Camp, and our Camp Two Cook just received word from our climbers, which he relayed to me.

Gary Guller and Gary Scott along with our climbing Sherpa departed Camp Four at 7pm (approximately 8am CST this morning No. American time) and began their climb to the summit!  From Base Camp, the skies are clear and full of stars. They reported a little bit of wind higher up, but so far the weather seems to be cooperating. You all know what to do - think positive thoughts, cross your fingers for great weather and visualize success for our amazing team! 

This team is like nothing I have ever witnessed, let alone been a part of before. The Sherpa here at Base Camp and I speak often about the amazing experience of the Challenge Trek and how it changed us all for the better. We are now reaching the climax of the second phase of this amazing journey, which will hopefully change many more lives and policies. The message of the unlimited potential of individuals with disabilities will be shouted from the top of the world for all to hear - I know you will be listening.

Gary G., Gary S., Nima Dawa, Namgya, Karma, Tenji, and Da Nima have touched me in a way that I never expected. I am a better person for knowing them and being a part of this expedition. I am confident that the rest of the world will say the same as these amazing and dedicated people push their bodies and minds to the absolute limits in order to spread the message that no one, regardless of ability or disability, should be denied their dreams or freedoms! 

Now is the time. We here on the mountain and at CTD need you more than ever.  Reach down deep to support us financially and in spirit as we make history!
