Sad News from Mount Everest: Mr. Karma Gylzen Sherpa (28 yrs), Climbing Sherpa from Sotang - 6, Solukhumbu reportedly died on 24 May 2003 at 7.30 PM. near camp I while he was being sick and was on the way to Base Camp from South Col.

Mr. Karma Gylzen Sherpa was one of the Climbing Sherpas of seven-member "Team Everest 2003 Expedition" team Permitted to Climb Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest) from South East Ridge for the period of seventy five days from 3 April 2003 under the leadership of Mr. Garry John Culler (37 Yrs), Mountain Guide from Austin, Texas, USA.

Karma Gylzen Sherpa, a humble and wonderful person. Gary Scott got him down to camp 2 from Camp 4 and he took a turn for the worst at camp 2. Karma Gylzen Sherpa became ill and was feeling very sick on the way down and has sadly died.

Note this death has been officially released from the Ministry of Tourism.
