Dispatch One: China SOHU mountain climbing team has left for DingRi

Over 50 members of China SOHU mountain climbing team left for DingRi on April 3rd about 10:00.

It is about 230 kilometers to DingRi, and to people's most impression is that the desolate vision throughout the traveling. On the jeep, somebody even said that this place just like the moon when they talked about the feelings about the wasteland. However, the members also saw the small villages and the scene of preparing for the spring farming in such desolate place frequently. So they sighed with emotion unfeignedly that the life force is so strong.

Nearer to DingRi the traveling is more difficult, because the altitude is higher, and part of the road is covered with ice and snow.

There are several interesting places on the way to DingRi, one is the mountain pass of CuoLa, people can find some benthal fossils easily, the other is the mountain pass of JiaCuola, there are lots of motley lection long narrow flags, and the sky is blue, the cloud is white, everything there is very beautiful. Leaving from the mountain pass of JiaCuola to the west, there is a small slope, so the members can see the Everest now and then, they all felt exciting.

On April 3rd 5:00pm, these members of China SOHU mountain climbing team arrived the north side of Everest--county DingRi.

County DingRi's elevation is more than 4300 meters. If you want to ascent the Everest on north side you must pass there. It is the last place where you can accommodate yourself to the climate and mountain. According to the conditions of the members' accommodation to the tablel and in county DingRi, the fifty members will go to the base camp in three groups.

In the afternoon of April 3rd, the climbers played basketball after a rest. The captain of China SOHU mountain climbing team and the headmaster of Tibet mountain climbing school led over 20 assistants to the base camp of the Everest. The others will go to the base camp in two days.
