Dispatch Four: Meet at the peak--the report of China SOHU mountain climbing team

In order to commemorate the Everest 50, China mountain climbing association, Tibet sport bureau and SOHU company constructed "2003 China SOHU mountain climbing team" together.

The captain of the team is the famous alpinist Wang Yongfeng, who has ascended the highest mountains in seven continents, and now he is the assistant secretary-general of China mountain climbing association. China SOHU mountain climbing team rescue the Sherpa brother

On April 7 19:30, a foreign mountaineering team suddenly asked help to China SOHU mountain climbing team, a Sherpa in that team had stomach ache.The captain Wang Yongfeng and the secretary-general of China Mountaineering Association YuLiang Pu sent for the doctor in China team right now to see the Sherpa. The doctor Song did the oxygen therapy for the Sherpa and diagnosed that it was not mountain sickness or appendicitis, but the cause of the sick was not confirmed. So the captain Wang Yongfeng and the secretary-general of China Mountaineering Association YuLiang Pu decided to let the coach Xing to send the Sherpa to the hospital. At April 8, it was said by the coach Xing returning to the base camp that the Sherpa was food poisoning.

China SOHU mountain climbing team leave for the encampment

Today, seven members of the SOHU climbing team led by the captain Wang Yongfeng leave the base camp for the next encampment at 6500 meters, and 48 yaks loaded with equipment were along with them.

On April 10 3:30, the captain Wang Yongfeng preached to 7 members who will start the exploration in April 11 to prepare for the difficulty.

At 7:30 last night, the climbing captain LuoShen turned to the base camp from the advance encampment in only four and a half hours, he recommended the situation on the mountain. Now, the temperature in the advance encampment was very low, and the wind was very strong.

Furthermore, the variety of the landform in the advance encampment at 6500 meters is very complex, it is very difficult to find a even place to build the camp, so the camp of China distributed in two places. It is observed by coach Luo, there was great variety in the route from the advanced camp at 6500 meters to north ice wall, and one of the most obvious character was the increase of ice crack.

At 10:30 this morning, under the fine sky, China SOHU mountain climbing team held the ceremony of raising a flag at the base camp of the north side Everest. Three flags were raised one by one: the national flag, the flag of China Mountain climbing association and the flag of China SOHU mountain climbing team.

At present, there are 19 exploration teams from different countries have built encampments at the north side of the Everest. All kinds of tents distributed in the valley here and there, just like clusters of flowers, it made the base camp full of spring scenery.
