	Peter Guggemos from (Germany) has changed his expedition. He will now attempt Everest and Lhotse expedition in spring 2003 alone, without oxygen and Sherpas working for him.

He will climb Everest and Lhotse over the Khumbu icefall and follow the way of the first accent, south-col on Everest and the west face of Lhotse.

Peter is a very succesful climber in the Alps, Karakorum and Himalaja. Some of the 8000 meters he climbed in the last few years, Cho-Oyu 8201 meters, Shisapangma 8021 meters, Broad Peak  8047 meters, Gasherbrum II 8035 meters, Hidden Peak I 8068 meters, and Nanga Parbat 8125 meters.

Hello, many greeting from Nepal.

German: Am 11. April sind wir von München aus über Katar nach Nepal geflogen, durch das subtropisch heiße Klima der einzelnen Städte. Ankunft in Kathmandu. Gleich sind wir eingetaucht in das wilde Treiben dieser quirligen Stadt mit ihren Bewohnern. Zuerst müssen wir noch ein paar Formalitäten erledigen, dann treffen wir noch Miss Elisabeth Hewley in Kathmandu, die noch ein Interview mit mir macht, letzte Vorbereitungen, dann brechen wir auf Richtung Lukla.

English: On April 11th, he flew from Munich to Nepal and arrived in Kathmandu. He is immersed into this wild city with all its inhabitants. first before climbing he must do the formalities, he met with Ms Hawley and made last minute preparations and headed to Lukla. Best regards, Peter
