Peter is a very succesful climber in the Alps, Karakorum and Himalaja. Some of the 8000 meters he climbed in the last few years, Cho-Oyu 8201 meters, Shisapangma 8021 meters, Broad Peak  8047 meters, Gasherbrum II 8035 meters, Hidden Peak I 8068 meters, and Nanga Parbat 8125 meters.

Hello, many greeting from Nepal.

German: Vor zwei Tagen sind wir von Kathmandu aus mit einer Twin-Otter nach Lukla geflogen. Dies ist immer wieder ein abenteuerlicher Flug mit großen Turbulenzen. Die Landung auf der abschüssigen Bahn ist mehr als wie abenteuerlich und hat schon so manches Leid bzw. Opfer gefordert. Hier in Lukla traf meine Frau Tshering zum zweiten Mal auf unsere Verwandtschaft mit Tanten, Onkel und Vettern, eine herzliche Begrüßung. Nach einer kurzen Weile und Aufenthalt gingen wir noch bis Packding und haben dort übernachtet. Gestern früh sind wir von Packding den steilen Weg nach Namche gelaufen. Namche ist das Heimatdorf von Tshering und unsere Verwandten: Mutter, Schwester, Tanten und Onkel, warteten bereits am Ortseingang auf uns. Die Begrüßung war wie immer herzlich, es ist ein nach Hause kommen. Hier in Namche Bazar fühlen wir uns wohl und werden ein bis zwei Rasttage einlegen, um von hier aus weiter zu gehen.

English: Two days ago we flew from Kathmandu on a twin Otter to Lukla. This is again an adventurous flight with large turbulences. The landing on the sloping course is more than adventurous.... Here in Lukla my Mrs. Tshering (his wife) met cordial greetings for the second time our relationship with aunts, uncles and cousins. For a short while we stayed overnight. Early yesterday we ran with our luggage up the steep way after Namche. Namche is the homeland village of Tshering and our relatives: Nut/mother, sister, aunts and uncles, waited already at the local entrance for us. The greetings were as always cordial, it was a home coming. Here in Namche Bazar we probably stay and rest 2 days ....
