An Hour Away From the Summit of Everest May 25, 2003 It's 5:10 p.m. 25 May here in Belmont, 6:40 a.m. (or so) 26 May in Nepal. I just got a call from Angie at Base Camp and she said the team is very close to the summit - about an hour away! I have no idea why she didn't call sooner to at least say they had left Camp 4 last night, but they are almost to the top now. Guess they are pretty much all together, but will have to find out more details later. Angie said she would call again when they have reached the top, and I'll try to find out more. But at least they have been given this chance for the top, and I pray they all get down safely. I'll let you know more as soon as I hear. -Sue Hoffman
