| Update: Namche Bazar, Nepal, April 14 In the heat, smog and humidity of Kathmandu, we reorganized and separated the equipment: one part headed for Base Camp, another for the trek and a specific section of special gear. Update 4/17/2003: It’s snowing... Namche Bazar, the Sherpa “capital”: We extended our stay at Namche Bazar to better acclimatize. We’re at 3,400m, an important elevation for a good acclimatization.
