Update 5: Dear EverestNews.com, The summit team
(Yuichiro & Gota Miura, Muraguchi) has departed Base
camp on the 11th and now they are safely at Camp 2
(6450m) as scheduled.

The weather forecast predicts
strong wind around summit area up to 30m/sec for next several days and most of
teams have deserted Camp 2 and went back to the Base. However, Miura group
will remain at Camp 2 as scheduled, and hope for improving weather to proceed
their summit attempt.
According to Gota Miura from

"The ABC (advance Base Camp -
C2) is like a ghost town at the moment. Only group remaining except us is Ken
Noguchi's Clean up Expedition. Right now, weather at C2 is pretty stable and
we hope for good stablaized weather for summit attempt. Everyone is fine and
eating well!"
