
Update 8: Dear EverestNews.com, The summit team
(Yuichiro, Gota, Muraguchi) and three Sherpas left C3
(7200m) this morning at 6:50 am and have safely
arrived at South Col - C4 (7984m) at 2:50 pm.
According to Gota via radio communication through BC,
the wind at South Col was blowing pretty hard around
20m/sec, however later in afternoon, it is gradually
decreasing. Despite of long hours of climbing, all
members are little tired but in good condition.
The route to summit is not
yet fixed this season, however, tomorrow(19th) Miura team will plan to proceed
to C5 with our Sherpas and other team's Sherpas creating the route above South
Col. Our scheduled summit day is May/20th.
