Jean-Christophe Lafaille 2003: Nanga Parbat and Broad Peak

 Current Pakistan Time

In French Jean Christophe Lafaille

Translations by Fabienne for EverestNews.com

Hello! JCL-June 13th: Jean-Christophe finally went down yesterday to the base camp of Nanga Parbat. The aerological conditions still changed again, the wind was stronger than the preceding bulletin, and moreover, Jean-Christophe was sick all the night long probably something he ate. He is thus gone down again from camp 2 yesterday morning.

Moreover, the wind would have prevented him from going up to 7000 meters to install camp 3! No regrets for Jean-Christophe! A weather crenel seems to be forecasted for this weekend, beginning of next week. If he feels better and if the forecasts do not change again, Jean-Christophe will try the summit of Nanga Parbat. Translations by Fabienne for EverestNews.com

Best regards, Katia Lafaille
