 The Friendship International  Everest Expedition 2001

Friendship International Everest Expedition is an Everest Side expedition that is supported by Asian Trekking.

3 members and two sherpas of Everest 2001 Friendship International Expedition were in their successful climb to the Summit of 8,848 m high, Mt. Sagarmatha on 23rd may 2001 at 9:15 a.m. 

1) Mr. Miguel Alvarez Menor, (1960), Manager Commercial, Navarra, Spain.
2) Mr. Juien Gotzon Requeta Anton (1967), Hidrolic Maintainance Specialist, Alava, Spain.
3) Mr. Francisco Javier Goni Lobera, Montador, Abadia 11, Lumbier, Navarra, Spain.
4) Mr. Thukten Dorje Sherpa (32 Yrs), Namche VDC-7, Solukhumbu, Nepal.
5) Lhakpa Tshering Sherpa

These climbers were on the permit of Mr. Gotz Wiegand (1959), Engineer, from Dresden, Germany. But our understanding is that they  were climbing independently as a member of this team.
