Reached
the summit of Everest on May 17th, 2000.
The
first Dutchman to reach the summit of Everest via the
north ridge route., spring 2000. No other 8000 meters
achievements yet.
Status:
For 2001 I have scheduled three expeditions: Denali
(Alaska) in Mai, Carstenz (Irian Jaya) in August and
Vinson (South-Pole) in December. My goal is to climb
the seven
summits and to become the second Dutchman (after
Ronald Naar). Plans for 2002 and beyond include 8000
meter mountains.
