Autumn Everest 2001: Hungarian Everest - Lhotse Expedition (2001)

We don't let poor Konyi climb at all. We have found something to solder here, in ABC, too... And Doc - also he is only a temporary resident of the camp - takes a strong line with the state of the social tent. To his mind, while it's advanced, it should not be necessarily boggled. So, with Zoli and Doc, we are carrying stones and building table, seats and shelves inside the 'hulk' where one can place food and things in a civilized and particularly hygienic way. Only 'whatnot' is missing. During this turnaround in the kitchen-tent, Miki and David are nailing the missing meters and broadcasting happily: we've overcome a very serious part of the route. During this, Konyi is exercising and varnishing the rope line. Down in BC, Ákos and András are logging the events. In the afternoon, VÁM (meaning toll - Vida (Doc), Ács (Zoli), Mező) sets up a 'spaltni' camp (a tent built in a crevasse) very close to the start of the route. Its groundwork, a very hard ice-work ring the praises of the work of diligent hands of Zoli. We can start climbing from here earlier. (Mező)
