Autumn Everest 2001: Hungarian Everest - Lhotse Expedition (2001)

A packing day. Our last stand, set up at 6100 meters, is now in the stage called 'traverse'. We had to go on snow - but it's quality goes fishy as Sun rises. That's why this is a packing day: Konyi, Miki, Mezõ and Zoli bring the gear of camp 1 and 2 to the shelf in the middle of the wall - this is the end of Pneuft Variant. Miklós jogs along to BC in the afternoon. The next one is a day of rest. According to plan, Mezõ and me move up to 'spaltni' camp. The end is two hours to reach even from here. We plan to start from our camp after sunset in order to climb the snowy pitches left. Two Tibetan young ladies have arrived to BC - they delivered us two cans of petrol we ordered from Kharta.
